Second Calvary Baptist Church, located at 1110 Mason Rd., Columbia, SC, is preparing to celebrate three great events on Sunday, October 9, 2011. First, this date marks the beginning of the church?s annual revival, which will follow the theme, "Create in me a clean heart, oh God; and renew a right spirit within me." Second, in conjunction with the beginning of the revival, during the 11:00 a.m. worship service, the congregation will honor Dr. and Mrs. Latta R. Thomas (former pastor and first lady) for their many years of dedicated service to Second Calvary Baptist Church.
