The March of Dimes South Carolina Chapter is pleased to announce the community will honor Tony and Helen Grant, as well as Dr. Clarence and Mrs. Dollison with the 2011 African American Achievement Award. The couples will receive the award at the organization?s 9th annual breakfast on Thursday, November 17 at the Brookland Banquet and Conference Center. A panel, consisting of past recipients of the award, chose to honor the Grants and the Dollisons for their outstanding community service and contributions to the African American community of South Carolina.

The ladies make white tees and jeans look subtly sexy in the upcoming issue of GLAMOUR magazine. The Hollywood mega-stars, Alicia, Demi, and Jen, directed a series of short films for Lifetime entitled Five, about women and breast cancer that show how breast cancer affects women’s lives, families and friendships. They open up about the crucial women’s health crusade that brought them together. And they're even dishing on their husbands, boyfriends, and kiddies, too.

Alicia spoke on what her short film is about...and baby Egypt:

On choosing to direct her Five film Lili...
“After I read the scripts, I felt like this was something important, and I wanted to be a part of it. I chose Lili because she’s close to my age and I understood the family dynamic. I had an immediate idea of what I could bring to it.”

On reality music shows like American Idol…
“Initially, I felt like it was showing people that to be an artist you’re just supposed to get on TV. But as time passed, and the industry changed, I started thinking of it as an outlet for people who otherwise wouldn’t have any opportunity to be heard. Now I think it’s a good thing. When you’re talented, you’re talented.”

On the breakthrough moment she had while in Egypt (it inspired her son’s name too!)…
“It was a time of transition. There were certain people [I was working with] who weren’t right. I had friends who weren’t right anymore. I was tired and I had overworked myself and burnt myself out. So I went to Egypt by myself. When I saw what was built there, it made me understand how powerful we are, that we can create anything. And I felt like I needed to create things that were timeless too.”

In their NYC photoshoot seen above, Jennifer Aniston is wearing a white Splendid tank, Hudson jeans and jewelry by Fred Leighton. Demi Moore sports a white 180 by Jean Yu tank, Levi’s jeans, Jack Vartanian necklace and Cartier ring. And Alicia Keys joins in with a white T by Alexander Wang shirt, J Brand jeans, Ippolita ivory resin bangle (30 percent of proceeds from the sale of each bangle will benefit breast cancer awareness) and De Beers white gold and diamond bracelets.

She?s been enjoying life as a new mom as of late, and yesterday (August 29) Natalie Portman was spotted resuming her workout regimen in New York City.

Just minutes after his performance at the MTV Video Music Awards, Lil Wayne released his latest album, "Tha Carter IV." The album is part of a long-standing franchise that has served the artist well, leading to sales in the millions. Like him, love him or hate him, Lil Wayne is considered to be the hottest hip hop artist in the world.

But his latest album hasn't won the hearts of critics. Some seem to love it, as Steve Jones from USA Today says:

"Lil Wayne made fans wait 10 months after his release from prison for Tha Carter IV (* * * �out of four), his much anticipated follow-up to 2008's triple-platinum Tha CarterIII. But now that it's finally here, Weezy has packed the lineup with more than enough repeat-worthy tunes to make it worth the delays."

There are others who feel that Lil Wayne has lost a wee bit of swag and creativity, such as Julian Benbow at the Boston Globe, who says that the CD is "bland" and "forgettable":

"...when you listen to ?Tha Carter IV,?? his eagerly awaited new album released today, it?s evident he?s not the same person, let alone the same rapper.

?Tha Carter III?? and the endless stream of mixtapes that helped Wayne bend the corner from rap star to rock star were great because they were unpredictable, reckless, and urgent. He?s neutered now, though. He?s running a sober tour - no drugs, no alcohol. Before he went in, he quit drinking codeine syrup, which was like Popeye cutting back on the spinach.

?C3?? was great because despite the unbeatable hype that went into it, Wayne managed to live up to it. Its follow-up doesn?t deserve the brand name. It?s not good or bad; it?s bland and aimless, which is worse.

With ?Tha Carter IV,?? there are only traces of the playful wit that made Wayne so interesting to begin with. On ?Nightmares of the Bottom,?? he raps, ?If I would have known I was going to jail/ I would have [slept with] my attorney.?? Beyond that, though, he has reduced himself to puns, thinking it?s clever when it?s not."

Aaaaaaand they're off! The "ladies" of VH1's "Love & Hip Hop" are already off to the races....and by races we mean hard core fight nights while filming takes place.

We got a tip today from a show insider that details how Chrissy and newcomer (Julez' Santana's baby mama) Kimbella are already at each other's throats. And why do we believe it? Because we ALSO heard from a VERY credible source similar details...involving Chrissy punching Kimbella out! Deets inside....

So a couple months ago, around Memorial Day weekend, we got word from a pretty credible source that production was shut down the first few days of filming (it had just started after Memorial Day). And apparently it was all because video vixen and rumored industry jump-off Kimbella caught a fist to the face....a fist that belonged to Chrissy!

Today, we got this tip detailing why they're beefing and what went down. And, of course, it's all over Kimbella getting it in with Fabolous 3 years ago. Yes, while Fab was with Emily B. Shocker. Here's the craziness we were sent:

I’m closely related to the show and currently working on the show and would like to remain anonymous, I was there that night filming when a fight broke out on the set of the VH1 show, Love & Hip-Hop.

That night of Emily’s party celebrating her new independence from her ex boyfriend rapper Fabolous, new cast member and Juelz Santana girlfriend Kim told Emily that she used to talk to Fabolous over 3 years ago. She explained that this was before she met Juelz and that Juelz knows everything as well.

Kim told her this in front of all of the girls because she didn’t want it to come out at a later time and was just starting friendships with some of the girls on the show. Emily said she kind of knew and was going to ask her about it, but Emily thanked her for telling her and said she’s moved on and is in a much positive space now and that she didn’t have a problem with her and was cool with it.

But, Chrissy (Jim Jones' girlfriend) intervened saying that it was going to get ugly now and Kim and even Emily questioned why would it. Chrissy kept mouthing off about Kim and when Kim didn’t back down and argued back, Chrissy didn’t like that.

Chrissy said “I’m going outside to get some air” and when she walked towards the door past Kim, she unexpectedly sucka punched Kim in the face out of nowhere.

Emily didn’t jump in and had absolutely nothing to do with the argument.

You will see when the show airs that the situation happened exactly like this. I was at this event and saw it all unfold.

Personally, I think Chrissy is responsible for passing around this story trying to deflect her own sketchy past. She has a history of being with rappers and ball players herself like Jay Z (who mentions her name in one of his songs on Reasonable Doubt), P Diddy, Max B. (one of Jim’s old associates), and basketball players Allen Iverson and Dominique Wilson to name a few. Everyone in NY, well at least Harlem knows her past as a notorious groupie. She was dead wrong for what she did and didn’t even try to have a fair fight.

Lawd Jesus. I actually like the show last year for the simple reason these ladies, unlike other shows, actually never threw punches. But I see that may be changing. Oh wells.

As she readies for her honorable position as show opener at this year's ceremony, Lady Gaga kicked off the weekend by hosting a fabulous Atom Factory MTV VMA dinner party in Los Angeles, California on Friday night (August 26).

Bringing her always eye-catching fashion while adorned in a low-cut, cleavage-baring red ensemble with towering heels, the "Born This Way" singer welcomed an impressive guest list to her Ciroc Vodka sponsored soiree held at The Beverly.

Among the attendees joining Gaga at the MTV Video Music Awards precursor event were Nicole Scherzinger and Mary J Blige, as well as JoJo, who mingled with gal pals Destinee and Paris.

As for this Sunday night (August 28), Lady Gaga is not only slated to offer up the first performance, as she's also in the running for four Moonmen including Best Female Video and Best Video With a Message for "Born This Way," along with Best Art Direction and Best Choreography for "Judas."
